Beijing will provide special visa facilitation for eligible foreign business travelers and coordinate with the Beijing General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection to streamline their customs clearance procedures.

According to officials, this initiative marks the first of its kind in China, integrating visa and border clearance facilitation measures.

During a policy briefing held on the afternoon of February 14 by the Beijing Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, relevant authorities introduced the initiative to district representatives and business stakeholders. The policy is designed to benefit foreign business travelers who frequently visit Beijing for commercial and trade activities, contributing positively to the local economy. Eligible individuals include those invited by qualified Beijing-registered enterprises, along with their spouses and children.
Upon application by enterprises, the Beijing Municipal Foreign Affairs Office will issue a special invitation letter granting eligible foreign business travelers a multiple-entry visa valid for five years, with a maximum stay of 180 days per visit. Based on this letter, Chinese diplomatic missions abroad will issue the corresponding M visa or an equivalent category visa with the same validity and stay duration. Applicants will be exempt from fingerprint collection, may authorize a third party to handle their visa application, and will only be charged the standard fee for a one-year multiple-entry visa.
To further enhance convenience, the Beijing General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection will implement expedited border clearance measures for eligible foreign business travelers arriving at and departing from Beijing Capital International Airport and Daxing International Airport, ensuring a smooth and efficient entry process.
