Over the summer, the Class of 2026 achieved an outstanding set of results, with a 100% pass rate and an average IB Diploma score of 38.2—placing them fourth in the Chinese mainland and 25th globally.
In the year ahead, Wellington Shanghai will continue to strengthen its Dual Language pathway, as well as its provision in mathematics, English, EAL, and the enrichment curriculum, ensuring that every pupil can realize their full potential.

WISS held its Sundowner event, bringing together students, families, friends, staff, and the wider Shanghai community for an evening of music, laughter, and connection.
Entertainment included a performance by The Pearl's Red Star Band alongside talented student performers, plus pony rides, bouncy castles, games, a dunk tank and flag football.
Guests enjoyed Italian, Chinese, Mexican, and Vietnamese food. Winners of the Sundowner social media campaign received an AI tiger for earning the most likes.

After Back-to-School Nights concluded, families came together for a different kind of welcome: an afternoon of water games, live performances, food, crafts, student-led charity booths, and opportunities to connect.
From the dunk tank and water battles to the marketplace and PSO Green Market, there was something for every member of the family to enjoy.
The event offered the Concordia community one last splash of summer while celebrating the start of the new school year.

On the day, runners gave it their all, racing for House pride and taking every step for a good cause.

After receiving more than 1,000 incredible university offers, SAS graduates have headed to nearly 90 institutions, including seven of the eight Ivy League schools.
Fifteen students are attending Ivy League institutions, 90 are attending U.S. News Top 30 National Universities, 13 are attending U.S. News Top 30 Liberal Arts Colleges, and 58 are studying at QS World University Rankings Top 50 universities.

Shanghai French School (LFS) Grade 9 students explored the extraordinary diversity of professions at WorldSkills Shanghai 2026, from robotics and aeronautics to pastry-making and carpentry.
Held every two years, WorldSkills is the world's largest international vocational skills competition, bringing together talented young professionals to showcase their expertise across a wide range of trades.
With nearly 1,400 competitors from 68 countries and regions competing in 64 skill categories, the event offered a remarkable showcase of international talent.
Students also met French Minister Delegate Sabrina Roubache, Ambassador Bertrand Lortholary and Consul General Isis Jaraud-Darnault.
More than a competition, WorldSkills gave students a fresh perspective on career guidance.
SSIS Celebrates 30 Years of Excellence
SSIS celebrated its 30th Anniversary by returning to Qingpu Sun Island, where the school first began.
A joyful Sabre Fun Day brought families and friends together for games, laughter, and shared outdoor adventures.
As fireworks lit the evening sky, the community marked three decades of nurturing curiosity, resilience and excellence, while renewing the school's commitment to the future.
The celebration honored both the school's history and the generations of students it has supported, reinforcing its guiding vision: Firm Foundations, Future Focused.

German Language Support Program at German School Shanghai
Learning German is the foundation for attending the German School Shanghai and a prerequisite for obtaining the German International Abitur (DIA).
Whether children are complete beginners or already have some basic German skills, the school-wide German as a Foreign Language (DaF) and German as a Second Language (DaZ) program at the German School Shanghai supports them on their individual journey into the German language from the very start of kindergarten.
From this school year onwards, the DaF program is free of charge in kindergarten. From primary school onwards, the fee is RMB30,000 per school year. Families pay for the program for a maximum of three years.
The DaZ program is divided into three levels of intensity, each comprising one to three lessons per week:
MAXIMUM – RMB15,000 per year
MEDIUM – RMB8,000 per year
BASIC – RMB5,000 per year
The level assigned depends on each child's individual support needs. Fees apply for a maximum period of three years.
Across both campuses, highly qualified teachers and native speakers support the students in learning German with professionalism, expertise, and individualized attention.
Through targeted language instruction and personal guidance, they help children and young people develop the confidence and skills needed to thrive in a German-speaking learning environment.
Oxbridge Day at BISS
The British International School Shanghai held its annual Oxbridge Day, giving students an authentic insight into the academic environment and expectations of studying at these universities.
Throughout the day, students explored the tutorial and supervision model, considered what makes a strong Oxbridge applicant, and had opportunities to test their thinking through discussion, challenging questions, and mock interviews.
The event brought together Oxbridge alumni from Nord Anglia Education's China schools, who shared their personal experience and expertise to give students firsthand knowledge of what to expect on their Oxbridge journey.

SUIS Gubei's University Guidance Counseling team connects closely with leading universities worldwide to keep students informed.
This month, admissions representatives from UCL, the University of Calgary, Boston University, and Michigan State University visited the campus, along with a University of Leeds Business School demo class.
Earlier this year, counselors attended the International ACAC Annual Conference in Pittsburgh, plus the WCSiL and UCAS conferences in the UK.

Olivia from the Puxi campus earned eleven A/A grades while serving as volleyball captain and founding the student Media Club.
Caia from the Pudong campus achieved A/A in all 10 subjects—including Coordinated Science, despite describing herself as "essentially a humanities person."
Both students credit curiosity, perseverance, and learning at their own pace.
Olivia planned her subjects backward from university aspirations, while Caia embraced challenges outside her comfort zone.

Dulwich College Shanghai is celebrating the achievements of its 2026 IGCSE students across both campuses.
At the Pudong campus, 50% of grades were awarded A* or above, while the Puxi campus celebrated a 100% pass rate.
