A CBP representative reportedly explained that the arrest shown in the footage was unrelated to the story about a family being deported following a fight over a child's behavior.
This clarification significantly undermined the central evidence used to support the viral account.

Another concern is that the story appeared in several different versions.
Some posts claimed the child simply disturbed another passenger. Others said he repeatedly kicked a seat for more than three hours.
