The viral chef, Ma Jianping, is a man in his 40s with more than a decade of experience in the barbecue catering business.
Serving as both a restaurant partner and full-time grill master, Ma maintains a rigorous daily work routine. He arrives at the shop at 9 a.m. every day and usually finishes work well past 11 or 12 p.m., dedicating long hours to his craft.
His striking resemblance to the Tesla and SpaceX CEO has long been noticed by local patrons. Even before his online breakthrough, regular customers frequently pointed out his Musk-like facial features and demeanor, asking to take photos with him. For years, the amusing similarity only circulated locally, never gaining widespread online attention.
