The touching story began in mid-May, when 31-year-old netizen Pan, a long-term follower of Zhang Xue, left a sincere comment under Zhang’s social media post. Pan shared his unfulfilled youthful dream: he had longed to own a motorcycle during his school years but could not afford one, and was occupied with work after graduation. Facing severe illness, he hoped to buy a ZXMOTO motorcycle if he could beat cancer and survive the tough battle.
Moved by his story, Zhang Xue personally replied to encourage the fan, promising a 50 percent discount on a ZXMOTO motorcycle if Pan recovered. Beyond the generous discount offer, Zhang instructed his customer service team to contact Pan privately and initially planned to invite him to Italy to watch the WorldSSP race in late September.
During the communication, Zhang learned the devastating truth: Pan, a resident of Foshan, Guangdong Province, was suffering from late-stage liver cancer. Pan revealed that his life had been plagued by misfortune in recent years. Three years ago, he was diagnosed with liver cancer while preparing for his wedding, forcing him to break up with his girlfriend. Shortly after, his father was also diagnosed with rectal cancer, leaving the family trapped in endless hardship and despair.
Though Pan cherished the precious opportunity to watch the overseas race, his rapidly deteriorating health made the September trip nearly impossible. Upon learning this, Zhang Xue immediately revised his travel plan, moving the schedule forward to July to seize the best possible time for the fan.
Zhang publicly shared his updated plan on social media on June 2, sending warm encouragement to the terminally ill fan. “My plan has changed. If your physical condition allows, I will take you and one of your close relatives to watch the upcoming competition. I will also assist and speed up your visa application process,” Zhang wrote.
Overwhelmed by gratitude, Pan posted an emotional response online. “I once thought I would spend the rest of my life in darkness, but I never expected to embrace such a shining moment. The saying that life is full of surprises has finally come true. I will cherish every single day and live well,” he said.
Zhang continued to cheer for the brave fan, urging him to stay strong and actively apply for the visa. “A real man should never say ‘I cannot’,” Zhang’s sincere words delivered powerful positive energy.
At present, Pan has formally submitted his visa application, while the specific destination country for the motorsport competition remains undisclosed.
