China Extends Reduced Visa Fees for Malaysians Until End of 2026
The Chinese Embassy in Malaysia has announced that reduced visa fees for Malaysian passport holders will continue until December 31, 2026, making travel to China more affordable for tourism, business, and family visits.
Under the extended policy, visa fees depend on the type of visa and how fast the application is processed.
Based on the current exchange rate (approximately 1 RM = USD 0.245), the fees are as follows:
For a single-entry China visa, regular processing costs about USD 25.50.
If faster service is needed, express processing costs around USD 60.30, while urgent processing costs approximately USD 79.40.
In addition to the visa fee, applicants must pay a visa application service fee charged by the Chinese Visa Application Service Centre.
This service fee starts at around USD 5.60 for regular processing and can go up to about USD 40 for urgent services, depending on the processing speed selected.
Processing times are generally four working days for regular service, three working days for express service, and two working days for urgent applications.
Fees for multiple-entry visas, including six-month and one-year visas, are higher than single-entry visas and are subject to additional service charges.
The embassy also noted that visa fees for citizens of other countries, such as the United States and Canada, follow different pricing schedules.
This extension makes China travel more accessible for Malaysians and is expected to further boost tourism, business exchanges, and cross-border connections between China and Malaysia.
