Day 1: Arrived in Kunming
You can either arrive at the door of Yunnan - Kunming by flight or train. Then our driver will pick you up from the train station or airport and take you to the hotel. Have some rest before starting your adventure for the next day.
Day 2: Explore Stone Forest (Kunming)
Spend the morning meandering through the UNESCO-listed Stone Forest, where towering limestone formations rise like trees. This place creates the enchanting illusion of a natural stone woodland.
After returning to Kunming, enjoy a local delicacy - Across the Bridge noodles. For those wishing to add a cultural highlight to the day, an optional evening performance offers a vibrant introduction to Yunnan's rich and diverse performing arts.
Day 3: Head to the beautiful Dali
Travel onward to Dali. The ancient town unfolded like a faded map, its cobblestone veins leading to hidden courtyards. Begin your tour by wandering through the fascinating old quarter and lively market to soak up the everyday rhythms of life in Dali. Next, visit the iconic Three Pagodas and later this evening, take a stroll down Foreigners' Street.
Day 4: Erhai Lake Cruise (Dali)
Spend the morning cruising the mirror-like waters of Erhai Lake, admiring the spectacular scenery with the dramatic Cang Mountains as a natural backdrop. Enjoy a leisurely afternoon at your own pace, with time to relax or continue exploring the surrounding area as you wish. (Optional: you may rent a bike to cycle around.)
Day 5: Travel to Lijiang
This morning, explore Xizhou Village, where you can blend with traditionally-dressed Naxi women and glance through its lively local market. Drive to Lijiang, the destination set in the foothills of the magnificent Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Upon arrival, visit the tranquil Black Dragon Pool, a favorite scenic spot where you can take in lovely views of the mountains reflected in the water.
Day 6: Jade Dragon Snow Mountain (Lijiang)
Today is dedicated to the magnificent Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, a truly magnificent range made up of several peaks, the tallest of which soars 5,500 metres. A scenic cable car ride takes you way up to the beautiful alpine meadows, where you can enjoy fresh mountain air and sweeping panoramic views.
Return to Lijiang, stop at Baisha Old Town to appreciate its remarkable Ming Dynasty frescoes, before visiting a local Embroidery School to learn more about this traditional craft.
Day 7: Tiger Leaping Gorge (Lijiang)
Set out on a scenic journey to the 3,000-metre-deep Tiger Leaping Gorge. On your hiking way, you will see its backdrop of snow-capped mountains, which is one of China's most extraordinary sights with spectacular views.
Later, return to Lijiang Ancient Town and enjoy time exploring the historic old quarter, where you can wander the jumble of cobbled streets, traditional wooden buildings and rustic stone bridges.
Day 8: Goodbye Yunnan
When you are ready to depart. Our driver will pick you up from the hotel to the airport or train station.
