This December, we celebrated Christmas with our students and friends from all over the world at a warm, relaxed, and laughter-filled gathering. While the party was filled with gifts, games and surprises, one moment stood out above all others - hearing our international students confidently deliver their Christmas and New Year wishes in Chinese.
From Ice Breakers to
Shared Laughter
The event began with warm-up activities and ice breakers, bringing familiar faces and new friends together. Laughter quickly filled the room, creating a welcoming atmosphere where everyone felt comfortable and connected.
Learning Leads to Expression
Through cultural quizzes and Chinese action games, students practiced language in a playful and natural way. These activities weren't just about having fun - they built the confidence that led to the most meaningful moment of the day.
The Heart of the Celebration:
Christmas Wishes in Chinese
As the spotlight turned to our students, they sang a Christmas song in Chinese and shared festive greetings aloud. From joyful "圣诞快乐" to sincere New Year wishes, every phrase carried courage, effort, and pride. Hearing Chinese spoken with such confidence and emotion transformed the celebration into something truly special.
In that moment, language was no longer just something learned in class - it became a bridge between cultures, turning a simple holiday party into a genuine exchange of warmth and goodwill.
Surprises & Memories
At the party, we prepared a Christmas gift for every single student as a token of our appreciation. Each gift came with a special title that reflected the student's memorable traits among Silk Mandarin community - making everyone feel truly seen and celebrated.
One of the biggest highlights of the event was the lucky draw, where we prepared exciting grand prizes. The room filled with cheers and laughter as winners were announced, adding even more surprise and joy to the celebration.
These moments were about more than just fun - they were our heartfelt way of saying thank you to every student for being part of our community.
As the event came to a close, the group photo captured smiling faces and full hearts - memories that will stay with us long after the holiday season ended.
