On September 2, representatives from the North Lantau Police Division confirmed that a male tourist had died at the theme park. According to the Hong Kong Disneyland customer service team, the visitor lost consciousness while riding the "Frozen Ever After" attraction. Upon arrival at the ride's endpoint, cast members immediately responded and initiated emergency measures before the individual was transported to a hospital by ambulance.
Disneyland representatives stated that the deceased had a history of chronic heart disease and hypertension, and preliminary investigations found no particular link between the incident and any safety issues with the ride itself.
The theme park has temporarily suspended the operation of the "Frozen Ever After" ride. However, a notice on the official Disneyland website shows that the closure had already been scheduled for annual maintenance from August 31 to September 19, 2025. Park officials clarified that the suspension was not directly related to the recent incident but part of a previously planned maintenance schedule.
The "Frozen Ever After" attraction, presented by Blue Cross, is one of the park's most popular rides.
