 Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, has recently introduced a housing policy aimed at supporting young foreign talent, making it applicable to expatriates as well.

  The policy offers a three-year housing guarantee under the "One Exemption, Two Reductions" plan. The first year is rent-free, the second year offers a rent reduction to 30%, and the third year provides a 50% rent reduction.

  This initiative targets foreign talent who first start employment in Zhuhai after June 1, 2023, and meet the requirements for applying for an A or B-class work permit in China.

  The policy also specifies an age requirement: foreign talent must generally be under 40 years old. The housing guarantee standard for foreign talent is set at no less than the B-class level.

Housing Distribution by Districts

1. Xiangzhou District

(1)A-class: Full-time PhD holders and senior-level professionals will generally be allocated a complete set of housing, with a maximum area of 100 m².

(2)B-class: Full-time Master's degree holders, mid-level professionals, and senior technicians will be allocated a single apartment or shared rental, with a maximum area of 50 m².

2.Jinwan District and Economic & Technological Development Zone

(1)A-class: Full-time PhD holders and senior-level professionals will be allocated complete housing units, with a maximum area of 70 m².

(2)B-class: Full-time Master's degree holders, mid-level professionals, and senior technicians will be allocated shared accommodation, with each person having no more than 45 m².

3.Doumen District

(1)A-class: Full-time PhD holders and senior-level professionals will be allocated one housing unit per person, with a maximum area of 100 m².

(2)B-class: Full-time Master's degree holders, mid-level professionals, and senior technicians will either receive one unit per person or share with another person, with each person having no more than 75 m².

4.High-tech Zone

(1)A-class: Full-time PhD holders and senior-level professionals will be allocated one housing unit per person, with a maximum area of 80 m².

(2)B-class: Full-time Master's degree holders, mid-level professionals, and senior technicians will be allocated shared accommodation, with each person having no more than 60 m².

5.Wanshan District

(1)A-class: Full-time PhD holders and senior-level professionals will be allocated one housing unit per person, with a maximum area of 70 m².

(2)B-class: Full-time Master's degree holders, mid-level professionals, and senior technicians will generally share one unit with another person, with each person having no more than 45 m².
