Time flies - another month is almost over!
And what a month it has been ✨
Before we embark on a short and warm May holiday break, let's take a look at all the wonderful events that took place at That’s Mandarin this month.
Graduations
It all started with bittersweet graduation ceremonies for Intensive Group students.
A big congratulations to all our graduates for completing this remarkable journey, staying consistent, and creating shared memories.
And remember - every graduation is a new beginning 💛
New
Beginnings 🌱
As some students completed their learning journey, others have just began theirs.
A warm welcome to all our new Intensive Group students - and happy Chinese learning to you 💛
Flowing
Together 🫸💨
On one sunny morning in Shanghai,
our students started their day with
八段锦 (Bāduànjǐn) - a gentle traditional Chinese exercise.
With steady breath,
they stepped outside -
to embrace a moment of focus, ease, and connection ☀️
Happy-happy
Shanghai Hour
Another remarkable event at our Shanghai campus this month was a team happy hour.
We thought: how about trying paper cutting together?
Enjoying some desserts,
playing some games,
having some fun?
And just like that - from a simple idea to a joyful reality - new shared memories were created ✨
Hiking Weekend
in Shanghai 🌱
To further celebrate spring,
our Shanghai school reunited
and embarked on a hiking trip -
to enjoy some green and blue together.
A moment for everyone to slow down,
breathe in fresh air,
and get in some healthy steps 👣
Mahjong 2.0
Meanwhile in Beijing, our teachers
introduced mahjong to a new - a younger -
audience 🀄️
Students from a tailor-made program
embraced the art, strategy, and culture
of this fascinating game.
Now we know it brings together
not only different cultures,
but different generations too!
Mahjong
in Chengdu
Then Chengdu campus followed suit,
gathering once again
to 吃 (chī), 碰 (pèng) and 胡 (hú) together 🀄️
Discovering
Dai Culture
And that's not all 🎐
This month, our Chengdu campus also hosted a unique and beautiful Dai Culture exhibition, introducing students to its many elements — from the intricate patterns of traditional Dai attire to the collective joy of Dai minority dance.
傣族 (Dài zú) • Dai minority
What an elegant way to step into the next season!
