China has widened its visa-free entry programme for citizens of over 40 countries. Travellers with ordinary passports can now stay for up to 30 days for tourism, business, or transit, with the policy valid through the end of 2026.

New countries added include Australia, New Zealand, Poland, and several European nations. The program also includes mutual visa exemptions with the Solomon Islands and special entry perks for ASEAN groups visiting Yunnan province.

Visitors must carry a valid passport and follow standard entry rules. The programme aims to promote tourism, business exchanges, and international cooperation while making short-term travel easier for eligible travellers.

Eligible countries:

Europe: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland

Oceania: Australia, New Zealand, Solomon Islands (mutual exemption)

Asia: Japan, South Korea, Singapore (special entry for Yunnan groups)

Middle East: Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia

Latin America: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Uruguay
