A Chinese woman was left traumatised after being bound, robbed and abandoned following a car crash in Chonburi province, Thailand.

The woman, a real estate agent, had arranged to meet a man who claimed he was interested in buying a property. The meeting appeared normal at first, and she showed him the house as planned. After the viewing, she agreed to drive him away in her Mercedes-Benz.

During the drive, the situation suddenly turned dangerous. The man reportedly threatened her with scissors and forced her to continue driving. He then taped her body, restricting her movement, and demanded money and her mobile phone.

While she was still bound, the woman struggled inside the car, causing the vehicle to lose control and crash into a wall near a housing estate. After the crash, the suspect panicked and ran away, leaving the woman trapped inside the damaged car.

Despite her injuries and being taped, the victim managed to escape the vehicle and seek help from nearby residents.

Emergency services were called, and she was taken to hospital for treatment. Her injuries were reported to be non-life-threatening, but she was left badly shaken by the ordeal.

Police have launched an investigation and are searching for the suspect. Authorities believe the man deliberately posed as a property buyer to carry out the crime and are reviewing available evidence to track him down.

The case has raised fresh concerns about personal safety, especially for people meeting strangers for business appointments.
