WISS Students Built a Pirate Ship & Mermaid Cave

Pirates Versus Mermaids became the Grade 4 and 5 students' show at Western International School of Shanghai. They became producers, designers, builders, and creative directors of an entire theatrical production.

Students painted backdrops, built props, choreographed dances, and made every artistic choice. It was hands-on creativity, problem-solving, and confidence-building in action.

When students own the process, they rise to challenges in extraordinary ways. Every painted backdrop, every dance step, every creative decision was theirs.

That's the power of student-centred learning at WISS.
