Fujian police detain man after fatal body collision

The public security bureau of Fu'an city, East China's Fujian Province, issued a police briefing on Thursday evening regarding a fatal altercation at a local market in which a suspect rammed another man with his body, causing the victim's death.

According to the statement, at around 9:23 a.m. on Saturday, an argument broke out between two men, identified by their surnames Zheng and Wu, in the Sanjiaoping area of Yangtou Market in Fu'an. During the dispute, Zheng allegedly rammed Wu with his body, causing Wu to sustain injuries.

Wu was taken to hospital for emergency treatment but later died on Tuesday after resuscitation efforts proved unsuccessful.

Police said Zheng has been criminally detained on suspicion of intentional injury. The case remains under further investigation.
