Three Dead in Sanya Beach Stabbing Incident, Suspect Caught on the Spot
Sanya, Hainan Province — On December 6, 2025, a tragic intentional assault incident occurred at Dadonghai Beach in Sanya, leaving three people dead. According to a statement from the Jiyang Branch of the Sanya Public Security Bureau, the suspect, a 52-year-old man surnamed Ren, was apprehended at the scene.

Preliminary investigations reveal that the suspect and the three victims — surnamed Tao, Li, and Han — were all migrant workers from other provinces. The individuals reportedly had a prior dispute in Sanya back in 2023 following a minor vehicle collision.
Upon encountering each other again at Dadonghai Beach around noon on December 6, a verbal altercation escalated into a physical confrontation. During the fight, the suspect used a fruit knife he was carrying to fatally stab two of the victims. The third victim succumbed to injuries despite emergency medical efforts.
The case is currently under further investigation.
