Shanghai's Average Monthly Recruitment Salary for Q3 2025 Announced
On October 20, 58.com released its Q3 2025 Talent Mobility Report, revealing a 3.4% quarter-on-quarter growth in national recruitment demand. Cities like Beijing, Shanghai, and Qingdao saw double-digit increases, with Beijing leading at an impressive 11%.

Among China's top five cities for active recruitment were Beijing, Chengdu, Chongqing, Shenzhen, and Shanghai. Shanghai particularly stood out, not only for its 10%+ growth in job demand but also for offering the highest average monthly salary—¥9,422—followed closely by Beijing at ¥8,881. Across the top 15 most active cities, the average salary was ¥7,744 per month.
The service sector emerged as the most in-demand job category this quarter. Among the top 15 positions, waitstaff, general laborers, and sales representatives ranked highest. Other sought-after roles included retail clerks, office assistants, beauticians, cleaners, kitchen staff, cashiers, sales managers, auto repair technicians, receptionists, telesales agents, accountants, and hairstylists.
Notably, kitchen staff saw a 19.5% quarter-on-quarter increase in recruitment demand, while roles like cleaning staff, waiters, general workers, and auto maintenance technicians also experienced a surge.
