Downtown Road Closures for Shanghai Rowing Open From Today

Shanghai Public Security Bureau announced that the 2025 Shanghai Rowing Open will be held in the city from October 2 to October 3, 2025. To ensure the safety and smooth running of the event, and in accordance with the Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China, the bureau will impose temporary traffic controls on selected roads from September 27 to October 5. Details are as follows:

From 22:00 on September 28 to 24:00 on September 29, Zhapu Road (between Tiantong Road and South Suzhou Road, including Zhapu Road Bridge) will be closed to all vehicles and pedestrians.

From 00:00 on September 27 to 24:00 on October 5, Yuanmingyuan Road (between South Suzhou Road and Beijing East Road) will be closed to all vehicles and pedestrians.

From 07:00 to 18:00 daily on October 1–3, South Suzhou Road (between Huqiu Road and Zhongshan East First Road) will be closed to all vehicles and pedestrians.
From 12:00 to 18:00 on October 2, Zhapu Road (between Tiantong Road and South Suzhou Road, including Zhapu Road Bridge) will be closed to all vehicles and pedestrians.
From 07:00 to 18:00 on October 3, Zhapu Road (between Tiantong Road and South Suzhou Road, including Zhapu Road Bridge) will be closed to all vehicles and pedestrians.
From 07:00 to 18:00 daily on October 2–3, North Suzhou Road (between Sichuan North Road and Wusong Road) will be closed to vehicles.
Police cars, fire engines, ambulances, emergency-engineering vehicles, and vehicles bearing official 2025 Shanghai Rowing Open passes will be allowed to enter the controlled zones.

The city's traffic-management authorities may adjust the timing or extent of these controls according to actual race conditions. Residents are advised to plan their travel in advance and cooperate with traffic officers.
