At approximately 7:00 a.m. on August 5, a gruesome discovery was made outside St. Francis' Canossian School at 9 Kennedy Road in Wan Chai, where a decapitated body with separated limbs was found.

Emergency personnel and police responded promptly to the scene, confirming that the victim was missing both the head and the left foot. Authorities began searching for the missing head amid a black rainstorm warning in effect at the time.

According to information obtained from the Hong Kong Police Force, the deceased is believed to have fallen from a nearby high-rise building. The exact cause of death will be confirmed following a forensic examination. Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim was a 54-year-old American citizen who held a Hong Kong identity card and had a history of illness and personal difficulties.

Local media outlet Sing Tao Daily later reported that the missing head had been recovered by police. Contrary to earlier assumptions, the victim's limbs were not severed; instead, the head had become lodged within the torso due to the extreme impact of the fall.

During the investigation, police interviewed the victim's domestic helper, who noticed the balcony door open at their residence and saw a significant police presence below. She went downstairs to investigate and subsequently confirmed with officers that the body belonged to her foreign employer.

A suicide note was reportedly found at the deceased's home, in which he expressed a desire "to go to a peaceful place." Police believe the man fell from a height and died from severe trauma. The case is currently under investigation by the Wan Chai District Crime Squad.
