Starting July 1, a new high-speed train service between Guangzhou East and Shanghai Hongqiao has officially launched, cutting travel time between the two major cities to just 7 hours and 13 minutes.
In addition to this flagship service, the Guangzhou–Hong Kong West Kowloon route continues to operate 26 end-to-end trains daily, providing seamless, direct access to the heart of Hong Kong. This offers an efficient channel for cross-border business, tourism, and cultural exchange, further integrating the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area into a connected, dynamic living circle.
Meanwhile, 18 cross-line trains are now running daily on the Hangzhou–Shenzhen corridor, efficiently linking the Yangtze River Delta with the Western Taiwan Strait Economic Zone. These routes, along with the new benchmark G800 service, are helping to weave a fast passenger rail network along the southeast coast, unlocking stronger regional connectivity.
The G800 train makes stops at key stations including Xintang, Huizhou North, Ganzhou West, Nanchang West, Jinhua, and Hangzhou East, boosting intercity ties and enabling more communities along the route to enjoy the convenience and economic benefits of high-speed rail.
