1. Shanghai - PR Policy for Overseas Chinese in Zhangjiang

Overseas Chinese working in the Zhangjiang area of Shanghai Pudong now face the same PR application criteria as other foreign nationals.

The Zhangjiang area no longer provides a PR recommendation letter based solely on four years of local employment for overseas Chinese.

2. Shanghai - Additional Requirement for Spousal Reunion PR

Applicants for permanent residence through spousal reunion in Shanghai must now submit a copy of the first page of the passport used for their initial entry into China.

5. Shenzhen - Fast-Track Work Visa for STEM Graduates

Recent STEM undergraduates from "Double First-Class" Chinese universities (majors such as engineering, mathematics, computer science) can now apply for a work visa in Shenzhen without any GPA requirement.

6. Dalian - Extra Points for Local Employers

Foreign nationals applying through employers based in Dalian can receive an additional 10 points under the 60-point work permit system due to Dalian's status as a special region.
