Singapore-based low-cost airline carrier Jetstar Asia will cease operations in the city from 31 July 2025.

Jetstar Asia, the Singapore-based low-cost carrier, will cease operations by July 31, 2025, due to sustained financial pressures including rising supplier costs, high airport charges, and intensified regional competition.

The decision was confirmed by the Qantas Group, parent company of the Jetstar brand. The closure will not affect the operations of Jetstar Airways in Australia or Jetstar Japan, both of which will continue normal service.

Jetstar Asia will continue operating flights over the next seven weeks, gradually reducing its schedule. Affected passengers will be notified in advance if their travel plans are impacted.

The suspension will notably affect direct routes between Singapore and the Chinese mainland, including the Singapore–Wuxi service.

For passengers holding bookings for travel after July 31, the airline will proactively offer alternative arrangements or full refunds through its official website via the "Manage My Booking" function.
