Starting May 8, the Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou High-Speed Railway has introduced a new monthly pass system, offering passengers greater convenience and flexibility for their daily commutes.

Two types of passes are now available: fixed-term tickets and multi-ride tickets.

Fixed-Term Tickets

Valid for 30 days, fixed-term tickets offer 11 options:

  • 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, or 60 rides within 30 days.

Multi-Ride Tickets

Valid for 90 days, multi-ride tickets are available in two options:

  • 10 rides or 20 rides within the 90-day period.

For example, commuters traveling between Suzhou South and Shanghai Hongqiao can purchase a 50-ride/30-day fixed-term ticket at an average cost of 22.8 yuan per ride, saving nearly 700 yuan compared to buying 50 individual tickets at the regular price of 36.8 yuan per ride.

Flexible Use and Refund Policy

Holders of these new ticket products are not limited to specific train numbers. They may board any high-speed train operating within the designated travel section, according to the seat class selected at the time of purchase. Ticket prices for these products include multiple discount tiers based on standard fares.

If the pass is not used during its validity period, the system will automatically issue a full refund. Additionally, if travel plans change, passengers holding these new passes may cancel without paying a refund fee.
