On May 15 around 2:00 p.m., a man wielding a fruit knife injured one individual at Guangzhou South Railway Station, according to the Guangzhou Railway Public Security Bureau.
The altercation took place in the station's northwest area on the first floor, just outside the security checkpoint. Police quickly detained the 35-year-old suspect, identified by his surname, Li.
The victim was immediately transported to a hospital and is currently in stable condition, with injuries that are not considered life-threatening. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident.
