A Gansu hotel was penalized for failing to register a foreign guest.

Recently, the Exit-Entry Administration Division of the Jishishan County Public Security Bureau in Gansu Province handled a case involving a hotel's failure to register foreign guests as required by law.
During an inspection of hotels and guesthouses in the county, officers discovered that a hotel's front desk staff had not properly registered and reported the stay of a foreign guest. In response, exit-entry police provided the hotel's management and front desk staff with a briefing on the importance of foreign guest registration and conducted additional training on the reporting procedures.
In accordance with Article 39 and Article 76, Paragraph 1(6) of the Exit and Entry Administration Law of the People's Republic of China, the Jishishan County Public Security Bureau imposed an administrative penalty on the hotel.
