Man punished for spreading online rumor

A netizen from Liaocheng, located in East China's Shandong Province, uploaded a fake video claiming that a local hospital had successfully brought Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of the Qin Dynasty (221 BC-206 BC), back to life. The video quickly went viral, amassing 14,000 shares. Authorities have taken legal action against the person responsible.

The individual has been identified as a 25-year-old man named Nie from Yanggu county, Shandong Province, as reported by The Paper.

Nie posted a misleading video that included a manipulated screenshot of Weibo's trending topics. The altered image falsely stated that "The Liaocheng People's Hospital successfully resurrected Emperor Qin Shi Huang."

The video quickly gained 230,000 views and was shared 14,000 times, sparking widespread discussion and concern among the public. According to the report, Nie has been subjected to administrative punishment by the Yanggu police.
