Passengers Use "Customs All Blind Charm" to Smuggle Goods...

Recently, customs officers at Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport made a significant seizure during the inspection of incoming flights. Two passengers, who had opted for the "non-declaration" channel, triggered suspicion due to abnormal images of their luggage during the X-ray screening. Upon further inspection, customs officers discovered an unusually large amount of luxury goods, including designer bags, scarves, and clothing items, in both passengers' luggage.

In a more detailed search, officers uncovered multiple pieces of jewelry hidden in the pockets of the male passenger's pants and on the female passenger's wrist and pants pocket. These items included high-end brands of clothing, accessories, and handbags, all of which were confirmed to be authentic, purchased abroad, and intended for resale upon their return to China for profit.

During questioning, the passengers admitted to smuggling the goods to avoid customs detection. To further evade authorities, they attempted to disguise themselves as strangers and had strategically divided the items between their bags. Additionally, they had created an image of a "customs all blind charm" to enhance their chances of successful passage, hoping for "smooth customs clearance" and a "safe exit" from the airport.

The social media community was quick to respond to the incident, with many netizens humorously commenting that they couldn't help laughing at the bizarre smuggling attempt.

After the initial inventory, a total of 38 items—including bags, scarves, clothing, and jewelry—valued at over 200,000 RMB were seized. The customs officers have transferred the goods to the anti-smuggling department for further investigation and processing.
