At the critical moment of fighting the epidemic, many foreigners have given strong support to China, contributing their own strength to Chinese people. We are proud of you guys!

On the Front Line of Healthcare

On January 29, 2019, Glele Aho, an international student from the Republic of Benin, volunteered to go to the front line in Nanchang Jinxian County Hospital. After being refused by the vice-president of the hospital, he wrote down a letter of application in both Chinese and English.

Finally, the vice-president was moved by his persistent spirit, so he allowed Glele to come to the fever clinic and be responsible for screening the first-time patients.

"I have been in China for eight years. And I don't know what to do to thank China. If I can do something in this winter vacation, I will thank China. For me, I'm quite sure things will be better. Therefore, I just want to tell every Chinese, every foreigner, that eventually the virus will be controlled. "He said.

The Application

In this particular period, there was another doctor in Yiwu, Zhejiang, who also did a lot for the patients. Ammar, from Yemen, had become a professional epidemic response expert for expats. He received dozens of phone calls and WeChat consultations from friends and patients every day. As a doctor who has witnessed China's fight against SARS, Amar was very confident in China's victory over the novel coronavirus. He said, facing the epidemic, China would make it!

As Volunteers

On February 8th, 2020, Mao, a hotel owner from South Africa in Yangshuo, Guangdong, volunteered to join the front line of epidemic prevention and control in order to prevent the novel coronavirus from entering his village.

And there was also a couple from New York, who has joined the volunteer team of community in Suzhou, Jiangsu.

They delivered food to the residents in isolation

Hami from Iran took body temperature of others

Even some African students in China had asked to volunteer at the front line of treatment or at railway stations.

Delivering Meals

Its not just volunteers. Aladdin, from Turkey, the owner of a restaurant in Fuzhou, Fujian, delivered meals to hospitals, community health service centers and other anti-epidemic lines with his wife to thank them for their efforts.

Staying Together

During the outbreak, Chloe, a foreign teacher from the UK, was reluctant to leave and stayed in Beijing.

As per what she told the news staff, she would be willing to take health precautions, wait for being declared free of the novel coronavirus, and keep alert.

As of now, she and her colleagues are studying the possibility of online teaching.

It was not a unique instance but had its counterpart. Julian from France also chose to stay in Beijing and stay together with his Chinese friends. In his eyes, as long as he did a good job of protection, it was relatively safe. He couldnt abandon his friends at this time and wouldnt leave when China had difficulties.

Donations of Medical Supplies

Arnold, a Polish living in Shenzhen, Guangdong, haven't left China during the outbreak. Besides, he and his Polish friends were actively raising funds for Wuhan and China to donate medical supplies. He said, all the kind people in the world would help China, and we all together.

It wasnt just one similar case. On February 1st, 2020, an American named Anthony Que, a teacher in Lanzhou University, brought the professional medical protective equipment purchased by himself from Miami and donated it to the First Hospital of Lanzhou University.

The supplies included 42 0725 protective masks, 10 N100 masks, 175 N95 masks, more than 20 pairs of glasses, 300 pairs of gloves, etc.

February 6, 2020 was Anthony Que 's entry date agreed in the contract with Lanzhou University, but the college proposed to postpone it. However, he said that since the contract was signed, the commitment should be fulfilled without any hindrance. No matter how difficult it was, he came as scheduled.

Thus, he came to China with five bags of luggage in spite of the dangers. In an interview with the news staff, he said that he was an ordinary person who just wanted to make a little contribution. Fighting epidemic was the business of the whole human race. It had nothing to do with money or national boundaries. He just did what he had to do. And he also brought his own professional protective clothing as a licensed pharmacist in his hometown, ready to volunteer in the local hospital whenever necessary.

As of now, all the medical supplies donated by Anthony Que have been used in the clinic.
