At noon on December 23rd, Tencent's WeChat Team announced on their official WeiBo account that users could update their iOS version of WeChat to find surprises!

So, what are the surprises in WeChat version 7.0.9 for iOS?

1. Quote a Previous Message When Sending a New One

A "Quote" function is now available in version 7.0.9 on iOS. Users can quote a previous message by pressing and holding on the content while chatting, and the receiver can get it in a bit.

Ps: For Android users, its also available in the beta version 7.0.10 of WeChat.

2. Comment with Personal Stickers

As for the latest official version on iOS, users can comment under the Moments with their own stickers and GIFs.

3. New Privacy Settings for Friends

Technically speaking, now WeChat allows users to set friends into two groups, which are Friend friends who can view your Moments and WeRun in addition to Chat freature, or, just Chat-Only friends.

It is worth noting that if you set one friend as Friend friend, the Hide My Posts and Hide Their Posts are still optional.
