Last week, a client of AnyVisa shared with us an unpleasant experience at the Guangdong Exit-Entry Administration:
One of his friends entered Guangdong with a business visa but was not allowed to enter. He ended up cancelling his trip and left China.
His friend was angry and thus asked AnyVisa for a possible explanation.
Since AnyVisa was not in Guangdong when the incident happened, so we were not sure the exact cause of the denied entry. However, from AnyVisa's experience, we can guarantee that:
Business visas not only have many restrictions but also are illegal sometimes!!
Many business visa holders may not be aware of the disadvantages:
1. Work restriction
Be aware that you cannot work in China with a business visa! This rule cannot be stressed enough. Every year, many people are deported for working illegally and even permanently denied re-entry to China for their poor records.
2. No residence permit
Because a business visa is a short-term visa, business visa holders don't have a residence permit, which can cause extreme inconvenience while living in China. For example:
Without a residence permit, you're unable to open a bank account, meaning that you need to say goodbye to online payment. Alipay and WeChat Pay have nearly replaced the traditional payment methods. Plus, you can't bind WeChat with a non-Chinese bank card.
Without a residence permit, you can't drive in China. Using public transport during rush hour in China can be a terrible experience. It's highly likely that you would like to drive on your own. After all, it's always a good thing to drive around and see beautiful China.
3. Single entry
The business visa is usually issued for single entry. If you need to return home for any reasons, you have to apply for a new visa to enter China, even your business visa is still valid.
4. Visa officers are closely monitoring frequent business visa applicants
You may successfully obtain a business visa for three to four times my friend. Chances are that your applications for other types of visa will get visa officer's "special" attention.
Recently more foreigners enter China with a business visa and work illegally. That's why business visa applicants are often on the watch list.
If you have multiple entries on your record with a business visa, it can be more difficult for you to apply for other Chinese visas in the future.
5. No dependent visa
According to regulations, business visa holders' families cannot apply for dependent visas.
Given all the disadvantages of a business visa, is there any other visa that can better replace it?
Actually, there is!
IT'S ENTREPRENEUR VISA!!
Compared with other visas, AnyVisa recommends the entrepreneur visa because
it comes with so many benefits!!
1. According to the policy, it doesn't clearly state the employment eligibility of an entrepreneur visa. But you can definitely start a company with it and run your own business.
2. With the residence permit, you can enjoy almost all the rights like a Chinese does, including buying a house, getting a driver license, and opening bank accounts, etc.
3. You can enter China multiple times if you go to other countries or back home.
4. The entrepreneur visa is valid for one year and is easy to renew. You can apply for a Chinese green card with an entrepreneur visa too!
5. During your one-year stay in China, your family can apply for a dependent visa to visit you at any time.
