Following on from the excitement of Super Typhoon Bavia second super storm is currently barreling towards China's east coast, ready to give Shanghai a weekend soaking.

Currently a couple of thousand kilometers southeast of Japan, the 13th (and rather delightfully) named storm of the season, Typhoon Dolphin, has already intensified to super typhoon status.

The system is currently moving west-northwest at a speed of about 25 kilometers per hour, with little change in intensity expected in the near term.

Packing winds of up to 50 meters per second, Dolphin is expected to start impacting Chinese coastal waters on the night of Wednesday, August 5—when the rain could begin.
