On February 10, WeChat Open Class officially announced nine significant feature updates rolled out in January, focusing on improved user management, AI-powered search, and enhanced support for developers and brands.

1. Keep Chat History When Deleting Contacts
Users now have the option to preserve chat history when removing a contact. By unchecking "Delete chat history while deleting contact," conversations remain intact and can be restored if the contact is re-added.

2. AI Search Can Now Evaluate Official Accounts
When searching "How is [official account name]?" in the WeChat search bar, the AI search tool will analyze relevant articles from the account and provide a structured summary.

3. AI Mini Program Growth Plan Launched
WeChat has introduced the "AI Application & Online Tools Mini Program Growth Plan," offering free resources throughout 2026 including cloud development support, AI computing power, data analysis tools, monetization opportunities, and traffic incentives.

4. Faster Reporting of Counterfeit Goods in WeChat Stores
Brand owners can use the newly launched Brand Infringement Reporting Assistant to flag fake products in WeChat Stores. The process involves brand registration followed by submission of complaints, which are then prioritized for review.

Customizable product placement timing in Channels livestreams
Traffic incentives for reserving mini-game livestreams
