As with all legends of the Chinese zodiac, the story begins with a great race organized by the Jade Emperor.

Each animal had to rely on its unique abilities to cross the river and earn its place in the zodiac cycle.

Some animals relied on strength, like the ox and tiger, who swam steadily forward, while others used more sly tactics.

The snake knew it couldn't compete with the horse's speed or swimming strength, so he needed a different strategy.

It quietly slithered its way into the galloping horse's hoof, adopting a freerider policy, and waiting for the perfect moment.

As the horse approached the finish line, the snake revealed itself, startling the horse. The horse reared up in fright, stumbled backward, and lost his momentum.

While the horse struggled to regain its composure, the snake quickly darted over the finish line, finishing the race in 6th place, and leaving the horse to trot over in 7th.

Horses are known for their optimism, quick thinking and adventurous spirit. It is said that those born in the Year of the Horse are energetic, independent and full of enthusiasm.

They thrive on movement, freedom and new experiences, often becoming the life of the party thanks to their lively personalities. They enjoy social environments and tend to attract people naturally with their warmth and humor.

However, their love of independence can sometimes make them appear restless or impatient. When motivated, though, horses possess incredible stamina and determination, allowing them to chase goals with remarkable intensity.
