Reporters recently checked Douyin and found that multiple accounts linked to Lady Nana could no longer be followed, their videos had been cleared, and the accounts were no longer searchable on the platform. On several other social-media platforms, however, her accounts could still be followed and her videos remained available.

Some netizens later claimed that Lady Nana may have opened an account on an overseas video platform.

According to earlier reports, on February 12, the official website of the Xiangcheng District government in Xiangyang posted a notice from the district's administrative-approval authority titled an announcement on revoking an administrative license. The notice said that the performer involved in a particular show, "Na Yina" (legal name Zhai Geying), was classified as a "discredited artist" and had violated Article 8 of the self-regulation rules for performers in the entertainment industry, which stipulate that such individuals must not participate in commercial performances in the capacity of performing artists. As a result, the authority decided to revoke the commercial performance license that had been granted to the company for that show.

Public information identifies Lady Nana as Zhai Geying, born July 17, 1967, in Zhongxiang, Jingmen, Hubei, and describes her as a female singer and short-video creator. In November 2022, she released the song "Ai Ru Huo" (Love Like Fire), which triggered a wave of nationwide cover versions and stayed on music-platform charts for an extended period.

Earlier, she had been active on short-video platforms under the name "Russian Nana," using AI filters and special effects to disguise herself as a Russian middle-aged woman. She claimed to be of mixed Chinese and Russian heritage and gained followers through a self-styled "patriotic" persona. During livestreams, she sold so-called "Russian specialty products" such as chocolate and honey, but these goods were later exposed as domestically produced, raising suspicions of consumer fraud.
