A Chinese company and its founder have gone viral on mainland social media after handing out 180 million yuan (US$26 million) in year‑end bonuses — nearly 70 per cent of its total annual profit — triggering widespread envy online.
On February 13, Henan Kuangshan Crane Co., Ltd. held its annual year‑end gala, where more than 60 million yuan (US$8.7 million) in cash bonuses was distributed on site.

The gala featured 800 banquet tables for around 7,000 attendees, mostly company staff.Employees were called onto the stage to collect their rewards, while some joined cash‑grabbing games: they could keep whatever amount they counted within the time limit.
Videos widely shared online show employees counting cash spread across long tables, and others walking offstage holding bundles of banknotes, some barely able to carry all their earnings.
During the event, the company's boss Cui Peijun even addressed the finance team publicly, saying:"Why are we giving washing machines? Do you think gold prices have gone up? In previous years we gave necklaces and rings.Bring out more cash and give everyone an extra 20,000 yuan (US$2,800)."
Including bonuses distributed digitally, the total year‑end rewards exceeded 180 million yuan.
The company reported a 2025 profit of 270 million yuan, meaning nearly 70 per cent of its earnings was shared with its 7,000 employees.

Thanks to his repeated generous cash handouts, Cui has been named by netizens "the boss who loves giving out money the most".
Responding to the nickname, Cui said:"It's not that I love giving out money. It's that young people are burdened with car loans and mortgages, and any support we can offer helps."
His generosity has left countless Chinese netizens green with envy.
