The person who recorded the video remarked, "Two people are taking up six seats—can someone manage this?" He added that although some passengers tried to reason with them, the individuals did not respond.
Following the video's release, many netizens shared similar experiences. One commented, "I've seen people do this—using one seat for themselves and the others for their luggage. If you ask them to move it, they just say the seats are taken." Others emphasized that such behavior isn't limited to foreigners and often reflects individual manners rather than nationality.
In response to the growing discussion, staff from Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport stated, "Foreigners are not granted any special privileges. If we see something like this, we will step in and advise the individuals involved. However, this largely comes down to personal conduct. We have reported the issue and will ask relevant departments to strengthen patrols."
