Shanghai Tavern joins forces with gallery YELLOWKORNER
Shanghai Tavern in the The Shanghai EDITION has joined forces with French avant-garde photography gallery YELLOWKORNER to present the exhibition 'Bistro in Light.'
Dedicated to the theme of light, the exhibition features signature works by four YELLOWKORNER artists: Christopher Anderson, Nicolas Velter, Alexandre Fauve, and Franck Bohbot.
Through their lens, light becomes a medium that traces the dimensions of city, time, and human connection.
Set within a nearly century-old heritage landmark, the works establish a dialogue between contemporary art and architectural legacy, where tradition and modernity converge to create a distinctive cultural atmosphere.
Guests are invited to immerse themselves in an interplay of light, imagery, and lifestyle.
In parallel with the exhibition, Shanghai Tavern unveils its refreshed Bistro concept.
Carrying forward the chic spirit of a European brasserie, the restaurant embraces an open-kitchen design that fosters a lively, convivial dining scene.
Guided by the philosophy that dining is a way of bringing people together, the bistro mirrors the exhibition's theme of interaction and exchange.
The menu introduces signatures that echo the resonance of light: Wagyu Tartare—with its refined texture and layered richness—pairs elegantly with a full-bodied red wine.
Black Tiger Prawns with Chili and Garlic, meanwhile, offer a vivid, aromatic profile that shines alongside white wine or champagne, adding vibrancy and elegance to the table.
Bistro in Light
More than an exhibition, 'Bistro in Light' becomes a cross-disciplinary dialogue between gastronomy and photography—where imagery and cuisine converge, and heritage and modernity harmonize to shape a singular urban cultural experience.
