How to Check & Cancel Personal Data Authorizations and Auto-Payments on Alipay
In today's hyper-connected digital age, convenience often comes at an invisible price: our personal data. Every click, tap, and swipe may be transmitting more information than we realize. Whether it's using a new app, logging into a mini-program, or enabling a service, we routinely hit "Agree" without reading the fine print.

But have you ever stopped to consider just how much personal information you've been authorizing—and to whom?
A recent online post sparked concern after urging users to check their "Personal Information Authorization Management" in Alipay. The results? Shocking. Some users discovered over 170 authorization records, with the earliest dating back to 2015. One person reported needing nearly an hour to delete them all.
These authorizations aren't just superficial—they often include highly sensitive information such as your full name, mobile number, and ID card number. And chances are, many of the platforms or apps you've authorized are ones you don't even remember using.
HOW TO CHECK "Authorization" ON ALIPAY:
01
Click "Me" on the homepage. Then enter "Settings" in the top right corner.
02
Enter "User Protection Center"
03
Enter "Authorization management"
04
Revoke permissions for platforms you no longer use or recognize.
What's more alarming is the parallel rise of "password-free payments" and automatic deductions. Many users shared stories of discovering that services like public transport, taxi apps, meal delivery, video memberships, and even investment platforms had quietly been granted auto-payment privileges—some without the user's active awareness.
One user reported an automatic ¥238 deduction for a video streaming subscription renewal they didn't even remember authorizing.
HOW TO CHECK "Password-free payments" ON ALIPAY:
01
In the "User Protection Center", click "One-Step Payments"
02
You can check three types of password-free payments here, including Auto-Renewal, Use First Pay Later, and Password-free Payment.
03
You can review each service and cancel any unnecessary or suspicious ones.
Consumers should be cautious when enabling automatic deductions or password-free payments. Remember to pay special attention to services that offer a discounted or free first month, as many of them are set to auto-renew at full price once the trial ends.
