The abrupt change significantly disrupted many travelers' schedules. One affected passenger shared her experience online, noting the major inconvenience and her decision to reschedule with another flight.
On September 27, a representative from LJ Air confirmed to reporters that the flight time adjustment was officially implemented on the 26th and will remain in effect until October 25. The airline stated the new schedule had been communicated via text message to the phone numbers provided during booking.
When asked about compensation, the airline clarified, "There is no compensation policy for sudden changes to earlier departure times. However, passengers may receive a full refund or reschedule to a different date at no cost."
A check on ticketing platforms shows that flight LT4391 is now listed with a departure time of 6:10 AM and an arrival time of 7:40 AM. After October 25, the flight is currently not available for booking.
This incident has reignited discussions about consumer rights and airline accountability, particularly concerning major changes that catch travelers off-guard with limited notice and no compensation recourse.
