WeChat is quietly testing a groundbreaking new feature that could revolutionize how users communicate. Select users have discovered an innovative function that automatically converts voice messages to text and sends them—no tapping required.

Users report a new dedicated voice input button in the chat interface. Once tapped, it turns green, instantly transcribing speech into text in real time.
