The State Council has announced its Decision on Amending the Regulations of the People's Republic of China on the Administration of the Entry and Exit of Foreigners (hereinafter referred to as the Decision), which will take effect on October 1, 2025.
The Decision, consisting of two articles, introduces the following provisions:
1.A new "K" visa category will be added under the ordinary visa types, designated for foreign young science and technology professionals entering China.
2.Applicants for the "K" visa must meet the qualifications and requirements for foreign young science and technology professionals as stipulated by the relevant Chinese government authorities, and submit the necessary supporting documents.
