On the evening of June 29, while driving a tour bus back to Zhangjiajie with 11 Korean tourists and one guide, Xiao Bo suddenly fell gravely ill as the vehicle crossed an elevated section of the Zhangnan Expressway.

Despite the critical condition that would soon lead to his complete loss of consciousness, Xiao Bo's final actions were those of pure instinct and duty: he managed to turn off the engine and engage the emergency brake, preventing what could have been a catastrophic accident. His heroic decision ensured the safety of every passenger on board.

Xiao Bo was later diagnosed with a brainstem hemorrhage. Despite three days of intensive medical care, he sadly passed away on July 2.

His courageous deed has since garnered widespread attention in both China and South Korea. The Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Wuhan issued an official letter expressing deep respect for Xiao Bo's professional spirit and mourning his tragic loss. Korean media outlets extensively reported his final act of valor. The letter also extended heartfelt gratitude to the local travel agency and guide involved, recognizing their swift response and ongoing dedication to Korean tourist safety.

In recognition of his heroism, the city of Zhangjiajie posthumously awarded Xiao Bo the honorary title of "Zhangjiajie Good Samaritan." His story—one of unwavering duty and international humanity—has deeply moved audiences around the world.
