Foreign Student Inspires Blood Donation, Spreads Love Across Borders

On April 23rd, a heartwarming story unfolded at the Huaxi Campus of Chongqing University of Technology, where a foreign student from Bangladesh became the focal point of a blood donation event.

Not only did he donate blood for the first time in China, but he also took on the role of a "blood donation ambassador," inspiring three other international students to join him in this selfless act.

With the guidance of event organizers, the student successfully donated 300 milliliters of blood, marking a significant moment in his journey. "I have donated blood eight times in Bangladesh, but this is my first time donating in China, and it feels particularly meaningful," he shared. The staff, recognizing his generosity, gifted him a cute stuffed toy as a keepsake.

The international student, understanding that many of his peers held misconceptions about blood donation, was quick to lend a helping hand when asked to mobilize more students. With enthusiasm, he brought three other international students along, encouraging them to participate. "Blood donation won't harm your body, but it can help others regain their health. Such a good cause should be known by more people," he said.

This blood donation campaign not only provided valuable blood resources for those in need but also demonstrated how the spirit of selfless giving transcends borders, planting seeds of love and hope on campus.
