On April 24, blogger "小敏Mint" posted online, claiming that the American singer Tang Bohu (Annie Lowdermilk) had yet to pay him for his styling services. On April 25, the issue of wage arrears involving Tang Bohu and her studio became a trending topic online. According to Mr. Zheng, the blogger, he has already filed a lawsuit regarding the service contract dispute with Taohuaxiange Studio.
By April 26, Mr. Liang, the current manager of Taohuaxiange Studio, told reporters that while they had a contract with Tang Bohu extending to 2028, Tang had been unreachable, causing significant losses to the studio. As a result, they are preparing to sue Tang Bohu for breach of contract. Regarding the labor fee dispute, Liang stated, "The case has already gone to trial. If the court rules that I must pay first, then I will settle the payment."
The studio had earlier issued a public statement saying that Tang Bohu suddenly left after taking on advertising projects up until August 7, 2024, leading to a complete shutdown of operations. They expressed that all communication channels with Tang and her legal representative had been severed, resulting in unpaid wages and outstanding operational expenses, including costs related to styling and costumes.
Tang Bohu, born Annie Lowdermilk in Denmark, gained popularity among Chinese audiences after competing in "Xing Guang Da Dao" in 2013, where she placed in the annual Top 4.
