Three Chinese airports have announced temporary suspensions of flight operations due to runway construction and infrastructure upgrades.
The affected airports include Wutai Mountain Airport in Shanxi, Mudanjiang Hailang International Airport in Heilongjiang, and Zhangye Ganzhou Airport in Gansu.
Details of the Suspensions:
1. Wutai Mountain Airport
The airport will temporarily close starting at midnight on April 1 due to runway-end construction.
All flights will be suspended during the construction period, which is expected to last for 30 days.
A reopening announcement will be issued as soon as the work is completed.
2. Zhangye Ganzhou Airport
Flight operations will be suspended from midnight on March 30 due to runway-end construction.
The construction is scheduled to last for 45 days, with completion expected in early May.
The airport will announce the resumption of flights once the construction is finished.
3. Mudanjiang Hailang International Airport
The airport will fully suspend operations from midnight on March 30 to undergo infrastructure upgrades.
During this period, all flights will be halted.
To meet passenger travel needs, Suifenhe Dongning Airport in the Mudanjiang region will launch regular domestic flights on March 30.
Updates on the reopening of Mudanjiang Hailang International Airport will be provided through official WeChat channels and other platforms.
Additionally, previous reports indicate that Bijie Feixiong Airport in Guizhou plans to halt flight operations from midnight on April 4, with services expected to resume in mid-July.
