The government of Lüliang, located in North China's Shanxi Province, has announced a reward of 1,500 yuan ($214) for couples registering their marriage for the first time, contingent upon the woman being 35 years old or younger.
This initiative is part of efforts to foster a birth-friendly society.
Furthermore, the city will offer financial assistance to families that comply with policy criteria for the birth of their first, second, or third child, with each child qualifying for 2,000 yuan ($285), 5,000 yuan ($714), and 8,000 yuan ($1,142), respectively. The implementation of these measures will involve collaboration among multiple government departments.
The policy will take effect on January 1, 2025.
