According to a Bloomberg report on June 27th, Sandiaga Uno, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia, stated during his participation in the Summer Davos Forum in China that Indonesia plans to finalize a visa-free policy for Chinese tourists before the government change in October. At the same time, the Indonesian government is actively developing new tourist attractions to provide services akin to the "Bali experience" for Chinese visitors.

Last year, Indonesia attracted 788,000 Chinese tourists, according to data from Indonesia's Central Statistics Agency. The Jakarta Post reported in March that Indonesia's Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy aims to double this number for this year.
