She blocked traffic, arrogantly claimed diplomatic immunity, now。。

A diplomatic incident occurred in Beijing on Sunday when a woman, later identified as Yu Qi, the Secretary-General of the Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization (APSCO), parked her embassy-plated car in the middle of the road, causing a traffic jam. She responded to the complaints of other drivers by arrogantly asserting her diplomatic immunity, which was caught on video and went viral, inciting public anger.

On Wednesday, Yu issued an apology for her behavior, which was seen as an abuse of diplomatic privileges. Beijing's traffic management authorities announced that they had fined her for the illegal parking.

Additionally, during the investigation, it was discovered that Yu and a 61-year-old man named Xu, who accompanied her, had a dog that was not properly registered. The local public security authority has taken appropriate measures according to legal procedures.

The Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau stated that the couple's refusal to move the vehicle and their inappropriate remarks led to a negative social impact. In response to the incident, Yu bowed and apologized in a video statement, acknowledging the adverse effect her actions had on the international organization she represents.
