Pizza Marzanos story began in the 1960s, when British founder Sir Peter Boizot was traveling in Italy. One day he stepped into a pizzeria, and the magical sight of a stripe-dressed pizzaiolo (pizza chef) tossing the dough high up in the air left an impression. Back in the UK, Boizot had a hard time getting that pizza aroma out of his mind. So in 1965, he founded PizzaExpress in London. A half a century later, it has developed into an international chain specializing in authentic Italian cuisine.
Pizza Marzano (originally known as PizzaExpress) now has more than 650 stores worldwide, including branches in London, Singapore, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing.
