A great way to make money
Luo was a 47-year-old jobless man who lived alone in Dayi County, Sichuan. By chance, he heard that all the ways to make a good fortune in China were written in Criminal Law books. So Luo turned pages of it and found that drug trafficking was an eligible way for him to make some big money.
However, Luo also realized that once caught, he would end up spending years in prison for dealing drugs. Thus, after much deliberation, he made a "clever" decision that he would find similar looking substances and sell them as drugs.
This was mainly out of two concerns: first, fake drugs were more beneficial as they were low-cost.
Second, it would control the risk, which meant, even if he was caught, the crime would be fraud rather than drug trafficking. This, he felt would save him from being imprisoned for many years. Luo thought, "the criminal law really works."
The Strategic Trafficking Plan
With in-depth research, Luo managed to find things that indeed looked like drugs.
Alum counterfeit meth
Multi-Enzyme tablets counterfeit Ma Gu
Through my calculation, 500g alum costs only 4 or 5 Yuan, and a box of multiple enzyme is also a few Yuan. Both can be fake drugs and make thousands of Yuan.Luo said. After the "drugs" were all set, Luo started his e-business.
First of all, he opened a small online store selling groceries as a disguise, and then he carefully picked the drug buyers, which all lived very far away from him and as he assumed, they would not travel such a long distance to retaliate.
Secondly, each time after settling on a deal, he would send thedrugs by express mail. As to win the trust of his customers, he only sold products of less than 1000 Yuan per deal. He also guaranteed cash on delivery, as he estimated that those drug addicts would not check the goods in front of the deliveryman, and even they did so, it would be hard to tell the counterfeits at a glance.
Thirdly and more importantly, for each piece of mail, Luo would put these three items: a bag of tea, alum and a test sheet in the package.
This was due to his belief that if the mail was caught by the police, he could argue that he sent Alum and tea, and the test sheet was proof of the authenticity.
Taking advantage of the vulnerability that drug addicts dare not call the police, Luo hardly had any "customers" asking for a refund during his drug dealing. Though Luo said that if a customer asked for a refund, he would definitely agree, as good business needs sincerity.
Picturing how those drug addicts couldnt wait to take a sip of alum and pills, netizens felt that the situation was hilarious. They joked that Luo was not a drug dealer, but was in fact a drug-quitter genius.
Per Luo, he believed it was no big deal to sell fake drugs. However, as of now, he has been charged with two crimes: drug trafficking and fraud.
